California Music’s own indie band is widely praised for its timeless, gritty, and genre-smashing approach to songcraft. The Great Escape is a Venice-based trio comprised of Kristian Nord, Malte Hagemeister, and Cambridge-born singer Hanna Lees.

Since 2014 they’ve been creating a timeless sound that’s both unique and strangely familiar, rough and infectious.

The band is also known for creating a new visual genre with their series of “Music Powered Short Film” – videos that explore the combination of music video and inspirational documentary.

Where Do We Go From Here portraits 30 immigrants from all over the world. The film shows the beautiful variety and mindset foreigners bring to this country and how much they enrich this society.
