In 2019, California Music co-founders Kristian Nord and Malte Hagemeister organized a 4-day recording workshop with Berlin/Gothenburg-based ensemble The String Theory, added top-notch LA-based artists and vocalists, turning an airplane hangar into a recording studio, making an orchestral record nobody makes anymore. The result? Two albums and a GRAMMY nomination.

The String Theory is a true artist collective, grassroots, diverse, bold, and beautiful. To us, this shows the creative human potential if we come together to merely co-create. In the midst of all global chaos, this collective gives us hope that we can do anything if we come together to listen, learn and act from a place of love.
